Tennis. Swimming. Golf. Watercraft. Spa. Salon. Fitness. There’s something for everyone at The Homestead. We designed it as a place where you can be together, and everyone can have their perfect vacation on the waterfront.
The same principles informed Café Manitou’s all-day menu. Whether you’re in the mood for a healthful salad, a nibble to share, or a decadent meal, you’ll find something to satisfy every appetite at our beachfront restaurant – because good food tastes better together.

Lunch at Cafe Manitou
At Café Manitou, you’ll find a selection of grab-n-go salads and sandwiches and from the grill, local brats and hot dogs to please the pickiest eaters, as well as more adventurous– and healthful fare– for more refined palates.
Dinner at Cafe Manitou
Executive Chef John Piombo’s food doesn’t need any help, but we still think it tastes better with the sun setting over Lake Michigan. That’s exactly what you’ll find at Café Manitou, where Chef John will be preparing dishes in his signature style this summer.
If upscale, casual dining isn’t any every night kind of thing, we’d encourage you to try one of our “Summer Suppers,” a brand new program, designed to offer family-friendly dining that helps our guests connect and relax together. Every night will feature themes ranging from a pizza party to an old-fashioned fish boil. They’ll be located in different parts of the resort, but the welcoming atmosphere, live entertainment, and delicious food will stay the same.
Our Glen Arbor country store has a lot in common with the one we grew up with – you will find a little of this and a little of that in a warm and casual atmosphere that is reminiscent of days gone by.
We have updated our store for modern sensibilities however, which is why you will find single-origin coffee and hand-crafted espresso drinks from Traverse City’s Higher Grounds Coffee.
We offer a wide range of wine and spirits, healthy and delicious pre-packaged foods, and a variety of specialty grocery and gourmet products. You will even find the necessities for a cocktail party, hostess and specialty gifts, and kitchen accessories.
Cavanaugh’s is located in the Village that is walking distance of Fiddler’s Pond, Little Belle and the ski slopes.
You’ll want a hearty breakfast to fuel your day of adventuring.
CQ’s Cabin offers a buffet featuring traditional favorites plus a range of both healthy and indulgent choices, designed to get you back out into nature as quickly as possible – though we sure wouldn’t blame you if you choose to linger by the fireplace.
CQ’s Cabin is located in the heart of the resort’s pedestrian Village within walking distance from Fiddler’s Pond and Little Belle.
Bel Lago… Beautiful Lake. Bel Lago wines are made from grapes grown in family-owned vineyards overlooking Lake Leelanau and Lake Michigan.
Bel Lago Vineyards and Winery was founded in 1987 by Domenic, Ruth, and Amy Iezzoni and Charles Edson. The emphasis at Bel Lago has been on quality, with an unwavering commitment to excellence.
We are winegrowers, and believe firmly, the old adage “the wines are made in the vineyard.”
Bel Lago wines are based on the production of quality fruit from select clones of a very unique varietals mix.
We invite you to enjoy our carefully crafted Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Auxerrois, as well as a variety of other wines.

Our goal has always been to produce the finest wines possible. We strive to make wines that express the unique soil and climate in which they grow, the personal attention they are given in vineyard and wine cellar, and the winegrower’s esthetic. Our wines are living things, raised with care, giving voice to our joie de vivre.
We have produced estate grown and bottled Leelanau Peninsula wines since our first crush in the fall of 1978. Now we make principally methode champenoise and cuve close method sparkling wines. Most wines are from our estate vineyards; however, we are producing some wines from grapes purchased from other vineyards. Our current annual production is less than 4000 cases: this modest volume allows us the pleasure of winemaking in the style we enjoy – barrel fermented small lots made with minimal handling.
All of our MAWBY sparkling wines are made using the methode champenoise, and are aged in the bottle before disgorging, with many cuvees being given 3 or more years of tirage aging. Our M. Lawrence sparkling wines are produced in the cuve close method, are given less aging, and are less costly than the method champenoise sparkling wines.
